Ali Cockrean is a professional expressionist artist and tutor. Her instantly recognisable and popular style has afforded her buyers and followers worldwide, including a commission from the BBC to paint the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee River Pageant in 2012. Ali’s art education includes formal tuition at Slade School of Art and Central St Martins, London. She works exclusively in acrylic on canvas.
With over 10 years experience, Ali offers private tuition to adults and children who are inspired to develop their own skills and in particular works alongside schools to identify and nurture talented young artists. Her students consistently achieve full art scholarships and achieve A and A* grades in their exams. She also gives demonstrations and presentations around the country to art societies; writes articles for the national art press and works as a freelance tutor for ArtsLink in Sherborne, ArtSmart School of Art in Beaconsfield and Truro Arts Centre, Cornwall.
