Ali is an expressionist landscape painter, with work in collections across the world including Europe, Hong Kong, US and Canada. Her career has been boosted by significant private commissions and a growing profile following the success of shows in London (Cork Street, The Mall Galleries, Mayfair, The Strand and Notting Hill) and regional galleries (Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Staffordshire, West Midlands, Bristol, Cornwall and Wales). She has also featured on BBC TV and radio, most notably in 2012, when Ali was commissioned by BBC1 to paint the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee River Pageant live from the Millennium Bridge.
She is a full-time professional, working from her studio in Dorset. Besides devoting time to her own painting, Ali is also passionate about working with aspiring artists: giving talks; demonstrating technique; tutoring adults as well as writing articles for national art publications, including Artist and Illustrator and the Society for All Artists magazine, Paint.
For over 15 years Ali provided support and vital practice for gifted and talented young artists.
All her workshops are available to adults and young people of 12 years and over with a passion for art, providing an opportunity to develop their talents; increase their skill levels and explore new techniques, styles and materials.
